I’m not usually one to make meaningful posts on tumblr

and maybe i’m young and idealistic but love is a real thing

sometimes it’s simple and sometimes complicated

but it’s attainable eventually

not necessarily permanent

but it will show up in your life again

when you find someone who will fill you with that faith once more

when someday you find yourself unshattered

even though people have broken you before

i understand that

i went rapid from person to person

trying to find something

and instead allowing them to wear me down

and allowing myself to feel broken

but you change

you don’t really break

you just learn

and grow

and keep moving on

and so what if you don’t love them like how you used to love? because now?

now you are a different person

you are a new person and you have had time to know you

and you take that time and make it time to love yourself

because it’s okay to do that

it’s okay to not give up

and eventually just let yourself find a new kind of love when it happens

a new and beautiful love

for a beautiful person

who deserves it

it’s not ruined

not even a little bit

it’s just getting ready for something new
